The Wulz Studio 8000 negatives. Alinari Archive

About This Project

This video project was created for the Alinari Archive (Fondazione Alinari per la Fotografia) and documents the archive’s complex work on photographs, negatives, documents, and personal belongings — revealing fascinating discoveries along the way.

The video highlights the photographic legacy of sisters Wanda and Marion Wulz, who operated a renowned photography studio in Trieste from 1928 to 1981.

Produced by Calliope Arts and the Alinari Foundation, the project is part of The Curators’ Quaderno, a series of publications by Calliope Arts with The Florentine Press.

It accompanies the exhibition “FOTOGRAFIA WULZ. TRIESTE, LA FAMIGLIA, L’ATELIER”, currently on view at the Magazzino delle Idee in Trieste.

This initiative to enhance the value of the work of Wanda and Marion Wulz was made possible thanks to the support of Fondazione CR Firenze and Calliope Arts.
